About Nicole Herviou
Nicole has written for audiences of all sizes and shapes, in many different voices.
She has been writing for as long as she can remember, starting off with some original character fanfiction. She can remember very clearly watching The Lord of the Rings at a young age and thinking, “This is amazing, and it’s my favorite thing, but why are there no women in the Fellowship? I want to fix that.” Whether she “fixed” anything at all or not remains to be seen, but regardless, that was the catalyst she needed.
She began her professional career as a social media intern at a marketing firm, then went on to work in MTV’s Public Affairs department for a semester. After graduating from The College of New Jersey with a degree in both Business and Creative Writing, she spent two and a half years in Mashable’s Branded Content department.
While at Mashable, she started writing for their Entertainment team, mainly covering comic books and related media. After she left that company, she continued to contribute editorial pieces to sites like Bustle, Publishers Weekly, ComicsVerse, and AiPT. Most recently, she worked in content marketing for a global recruitment firm. She continues to explore options in content marketing and related fields.
In her spare time, she is working on her debut novel — a fantasy romance written for a New Adult audience. She is also one of the hosts of Talkin’ Tauntauns, a podcast discussing all things Star Wars.
Nicole lives in Asbury Park, New Jersey with her cat, Oliver. She, like so many others, also likes to call Walt Disney World “home,” and is always planning her next trip to visit the Haunted Mansion and Oga’s Cantina.
